Resizing Tolerance

Resizing tolerance is how far a ring can be adjusted before the design is compromised. Plain bands move most, often two sizes or more. Rings set with stones all the way round, pavé shanks, engraved shanks and heavy bezel designs may resize badly or not at all. Ask before buying: a piece that cannot be resized turns a sizing error into a return-window problem.
