Everyday Gold That Survives Being Worn

Pieces you never take off are judged on construction, not photography: clasp, chain type, karat, gram weight, and how a design behaves against skin and sleeves for years rather than a season.

What matters most here

  • Chain type and clasp decide longevity — ask what the clasp is and whether it can be replaced
  • Bezel settings sit flatter and protect stone edges better than prongs for constant wear
  • Higher karat is softer: 14K generally outlasts 18K on rings and bracelets
  • Confirm whether a "waterproof" or "everyday" claim is the brand’s own — we attribute those, we do not repeat them

Do not · Do not buy plated for daily wear on the strength of a photograph. Plating rubs through where a ring meets a finger, usually within months.
